AUD/USD lost more than 70 pips from highs and bottomed out at 1.0766 where the 20 SMA in 4 hours charts helped to contain the slide. At time of writing, AUD/USD is trading at the 1.0780 area, posting a 0.2% loss on the day.

As for technical levels, immediate supports are seen at 1.0765, 1.0730 and the 1.0700 zone, while resistances could be found at 1.0810 and 1.0845 ahead of 1.0880.
